This course will help you learn the essentials of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and stick welding (SMAW), while giving you an introduction to the basics of Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding.

Areas of Study

This is a non-graded Welding Program focused on equipping you with the skills and knowledge to succeed in applying Metal Inert Gas (MIG), stick (SMAW), and basic Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. You'll gain skills to:

  • Perform MIG and stick (SMAW) welding
  • Perform basic TIG welding

Whether you’re looking to build on the foundation from Basic Welding: SMAW & Cutting or focus on mastering these specialized techniques, this course offers the training you need. Participants will also receive a complimentary membership with the Canadian Welding Association (CWA), providing access to valuable industry resources and networking opportunities.

  • In-Person Delivery
  • 6 - 9 p.m. Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Non-Graded

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years of age.
  • No previous welding experience required.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required

  • CSA approved boots.
  • Helmets, if already owned.
  • Additionally, if participants do not already have the required equipment, mini传媒 will be able to provide the following welding gear during the training: gloves, safety glasses, jackets, and helmets.

Payment of course fees will be due by January 22, 2026.

Withdrawal/Refunds: Requests for withdrawal from Continuing Education courses must be made within 20% of course duration. Refunds may take 4-6 weeks to process. An administrative fee may apply.
